Heather Hill Cabins are log cabins for vacation rental in the beautiful Ozark Mountains near the Buffalo National River in Jasper, Arkansas. This area is commonly referred to as the Little Grand Canyon. There are many things to do and see around the area:
Historic Downtown Jasper - The historic downtown area of Jasper has become one of the many places to stop and see along Scenic Byway 7. Many of the buildings date back to the early 1900s. While downtown, enjoy a meal at the famous Ozark Café. You won't be disappointed.
Bradley Park - Bradley Park is nestled along the banks of the Little Buffalo River in Jasper. It is a great place to go swimming or fishing and a wonderful place for a picnic.
Scenic Byway 7 - This is Arkansas' first scenic byway, approximately 290 miles long from the border with Louisiana to the shores of Bull Shoals Lake that borders Missouri. About 50 miles of it divides Newton County in half passing though the Ozark National forest and crossing the Buffalo National River.
Buffalo River/Floating- The river is very popular as a floating destination. Guests can experience canoeing, fishing and swimming on the Buffalo River. Heather Hill Cabin guests can enjoy early spring floating on the upper river and summer floating on the middle river. Local shuttle service and canoe rentals are available.
We highly recommend the following river outfitters:
Pruitt's Landing - This landing is located approximately 2 miles from Heather Hill Cabins, a popular take-in/take-out for canoes. The landing also has a great swimming hole.
Cavern Exploration - Just a few miles down the road is Mystic Caverns where you can experience a caving adventure
through two of Arkansas' most spectacular caves, Mystic Caverns and Crystal Dome Caverns, located in the heart of the Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas.
Hiking Trails - Heather Hill Cabins is located near many hiking trails that can be hiked year round. Spring has an abundance of windflowers, redbuds and dogwoods. Summer brings thick foliage and there is always a good spot to jump in the Buffalo river to cool off. Trails include Lost Volley (3.5 miles), Hemmed-In-Hollow 5.4 miles one way), Compton Trailhead (5 miles), Hideout Holllow Trail (2 miles), Mill Creek Trail (1.5 miles) and many others.
